of the track. \u00a0This article discusses the power supply for a FC-9821<em>Ka<\/em> computer, which is <em><strong>not<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0the same as the FC-9821<em>Ke. \u00a0<\/em>Before following the diagnostic procedure below, ensure that the computer you are inspecting is the\u00a0<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Ka<\/em><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div the computer box. \u00a0Molex cables drop down to the motherboard and attach to five connectors to power the majority of the computer (a separate cable goes to the hard drive). \u00a0Below is a photograph of these connections viewed from the side. \u00a0An illustrated representation of these connections has also been provided (drawn from the perspective of facing forward from the rear of the that these wires lead to an interconnect which does not involve these conductors (in other words, they are floating).<\/p>\n<p>4)\u00a0<em>BLACK &#8212;\u00a0<\/em>GND<\/p>\n<p>5) 6)\u00a0<i>RED &#8212; +<\/i>5.082V \u00a0<strong>*NOT Vcc &#8211; these are an isolated 5V supply*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>7)\u00a0<em>WHITE &#8212;<\/em> +5.049V<\/p>\n<p>If your DNS 80 track is completely inoperable\/dead, you may have a bad computer. \u00a0And it may be as simple as a dead supply. Or the computer may need to be replaced (i.e. bad motherboard). \u00a0Check the DC voltages out of the supply.
